It is the Internet; A large global computer network based around a
set of protocols known as the Internet Protocol Suite.
"Surfing" is a sport that involves buying loads of expensive
clothes, a large flat piece of plastic and going to an ocean. You then place
the
piece of plastic on the ocean, place yourself on the piece of plastic
and hope that loads of women will go to bed with you.
How then do we arrive at the expression "Surfin' the net" ? This
is an impossibility and therefore does not happen.
Oh yes, and while we're on the subject:
Netscape, IE and the world-wide-web are not the
Internet! The Internet is the medium they use to communicate.
